Postpartum Support

The birth of your baby is just the beginning — and so much unfolds in the days, weeks, and months that follow. This time is often called the fourth trimester, and it’s one of the most tender, transformative, and vulnerable phases of your journey.

As your doula, my care doesn’t end after the birth. I offer nourishing, in-home postpartum support designed to help you rest, recover, and ease into life with your newborn. Whether you’ve had a vaginal birth or a cesarean, my role is to walk beside you with compassion, practical help, and zero judgment.

What’s Included in Postpartum Support

Every family’s needs are different, so I offer flexible care that can include:

  • Emotional support and birth debriefing
  • Support with feeding (breast/ bottle)
  • Gentle newborn care guidance (sleep, soothing, bathing)
  • Holding baby while you rest, shower, or nap
  • Light tidying, laundry, and household support
  • Nourishing meals, teas, or snacks prepared in your kitchen
  • In-home cooking classes focused on postpartum nutrition
  • Freezer meals and smoothie prep to keep you nourished
  • Text/voice note support between sessions for reassurance

Why Postpartum Support Matters

So many mothers are left to “bounce back” on their own — physically, emotionally, and mentally — and it’s just not how we were meant to do it. With postpartum care, you get to be held and supported as you heal, bond with your baby, and settle into this new season of motherhood.

This isn’t about perfection — it’s about presence, gentleness, and making sure you feel seen and supported while caring for your baby.

Postpartum Support (Even If I Wasn’t at Your Birth)

Maybe your birth didn’t go as planned.
Maybe you’re navigating the early days of motherhood feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, or simply needing some extra help.
Or maybe you just want someone gentle and experienced to walk beside you as you settle into life with your baby.

You don’t need to have had me at your birth to receive support. I offer postpartum care as a standalone service for moms who are seeking calm, compassionate support after baby arrives — whether it’s your first baby or your fourth.

What I Offer

Postpartum care is deeply personal and unique to each mother. My role is to support your healing, confidence, and capacity to care for yourself and your baby.

This care may include:

  • A warm in-home check-in and gentle emotional support
  • Birth debriefing and a safe space to share your story
  • Support with feeding (breast/ bottle) and newborn care
  • Holding baby while you nap, shower, eat, or take a moment to breathe
  • Light tidying, laundry, and general household support
  • Nourishing meals prepared in your kitchen or delivered
  • Cooking classes focused on postpartum healing foods
  • Freezer meal and smoothie prep to make life easier
  • Text or voice note check-ins between sessions

Healing Looks Different for Everyone

You don’t have to do it all alone — and you don’t need to wait until you’re struggling to ask for help. Whether you had a vaginal birth, cesarean, or assisted delivery, this is a time of massive change, and you deserve to be supported with softness, skill, and presence.

Build the Support You Deserve

I offer flexible postpartum care packages starting at 40 hours, available in Cape Town from the Northern Suburbs to the Deep South. Whether you need a few visits or ongoing support over weeks, we’ll create a rhythm that suits your healing and your home.
